Program Descriptions

txt2ens - Converts data in the tabular format common to most published papers to the ENSDF file format.
average - Calculates unweighted and weighted averages on large sets of data contained in a text file.
lifetime - Converts the lifetimes on energy levels into half-lives in an ENSDF file.
width80 - Truncate lines that are longer than 80 characters and add spaces to ones that are shorter.
ens2ps - Converts a text file (ENSDF especially) into a postscript file for printing purposes.

Binaries

Microsoft Windows Executables - C++ programs are compiled with MS Visual C++. Python programs are 'compiled' with py2exe.
Linux i386 Executables - C++ programs are compiled with g++. Python programs require an installation of python, which is assumed to be executed by "/usr/bin/python".
Sun Solaris Executables - C++ programs are compiled with g++. Python programs require an installation of python, which is assumed to be executed by "/usr/bin/python".

Source Code

The source code was designed to be as platform independant as possible. Some programs are written in standard C++, others are written in python. Unless you are a developer or work on a OS not included above, then you probably want the executables instead.
